Samsung Launches The Thin AMD Laptops In Indonesia

If Intel had Ultrabook for thin laptop, the rival, AMD also has a similar product. Thin laptops with AMD processors are named Ultrathin.

Although not as popular as Ultrabook, Ultrahin already visited several countries, including Indonesia. Samsung became the first launch by launching a slim laptop with Series 5 AMD processor-based AMD A6 "Trinity" on Tuesday (7/10/2012) in Jakarta.

More precisely, the "Ultrathin" laptop that Samsung released has 535U3C model number. The screen of 13.3 inches with "SuperBright Anti-Reflective" technology.

This category of thin laptops the priced cheaper than a thin laptop "Ultrabook" Intel made a lot of premium models.

Samsung Series 5 535U3C has a maximum thickness of 17.6 mm and weighs only 1.52 kg so it appears slim. In it is embedded dual-core processors AMD A6 4455M (2.1 GHz) equipped with an integrated Radeon HD 7500 graphics, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, and hard disk capacity of 500 GB.

Head of Product Marketing IT Business Samsung Electronics Indonesia Haryono Kartono said that the battery has a charge recycle as much as 1500x time or 3 years. "So, for 3 years too, the battery will not 'leak' and reduce capacity," he said.

With prices under 7 million rupiah, he hopes Samsung Ultrathin laptop will demand of consumers.

In addition to Series 5 535U3C, Samsung will also release a model Series 5 535U4C which has a screen size of 14 inches, equipped with optical disc drive, and rely on quad-core AMD A8.

The plan, scheduled to slide the second Ultrathin on September. Series 5 535U3C itself would become available in Samsung stores next week.
