Samsung presents a unique smartphone named Galaxy Beam to Indonesia, Tuesday (07/17/2012). Galaxy Beam uniqueness lies in the top of the smartphone, which is equipped with a projector high definition (HD).
Galaxy Beam can project images, video, games or documents stored on the smartphone.
Senior Product Marketing Manager Samsung Indonesia Fabiant Kayatmo said, light beam projected from 10 inches to 50 inches, with 15 lumens of light brightness.
"If the Galaxy Beam is placed at a distance of 2 meters, he can project an image of 50 inches," explained Fabiant.
He claims the Galaxy Beam can last between 4 to 5 hours if used continuously for projecting images. This is because the durability of the Galaxy Beam is supported by the battery capacity of 2000mAh.
Galaxy Beam reinforced with a 1 GHz dual core processor, 768MB RAM, 4-inch landscape display WVGA 480x800 pixel resolution, 8 GB of internal memory, 2000 mAh battery, and runs the Android operating system 2.3 (Gingerbread).
This smartphone is equipped with a 5MP camera with LED flash and front camera 1.3 MP. Dimensions are 64.2 x 124 mm with a thickness of 12.5 mm and weighs 145.3 grams.
For connectivity, there is a MicroSD slot, MicroUSB, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth, 3G HSPA and Wi-Fi for internet connection.
Projector mobile phone made by South Korean vendor is priced at 5 million Rupiah.
